Well, what can I say, apart from welcome to the new layout. There has been an excessive amount of work in both the front end and the back end to make the game not only look better but to make it run better as well.
One of the changes is that the game has left HYIPCastle.com (
HYIP Monitoring and Ranking) and has become an entity in itself HYIPAcademy.com
A big thanks goes out to Chris of
Chrismono for the graphical redesign.
Other people who deserve a mention are:
Rick Atwell, for being the most loyal supporter and longest running beta tester
And
Chau Chee Fui of HYIPHooray.com also for beta testing and debugging
The next thing to do is get a sponsor for prizes, so if you want to get prime position and have your add displayed on all pages of this site for next to nothing per month, send me an email via the contact page and we’ll sort something out
A lot more posts to come as well as new HYIP and content soon

First off,
thank-you to all the people who have said nice things about the
HYIP game and another thank-you to all the people who have made suggestions on how to improve the game.
The login is now working as it should be. You need a valid email address to play the game, so to the people out there who figured out 'that bug' you’ll need to check your email and confirm that it is legit before being able to continue playing.
In other news, a practical way to make the game competitive has been suggested. So that’s what I will be doing over the next month. It will mean that you can compete with other players to see who the best is and where you stand in comparison. With this, I hope to promote a community feel and encourage discussions about HYIP strategies.
Once the ranking feature is built, I will do a trial run with e-gold prizes. If the prizes work out and people like them then I’ll keep them as a permanent feature of the game.
If I don’t post again before hand, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

A new feature has just been added :)
Players can now view all their investments in one spot. From
here the player can alter the compounding rate (if the HYIP has a compounding plan) and add to an investmens active principal.
Check it out here!

Hi all,
Just when you think you have it all sorted you find that there is a million bugs hiding right behind the last one you fixed. The game is working 97%, BUT THAT ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH and it is annoying the crap out of me. I'll keep at it and one day I'll finally put my tools down and be happy with what I have created.
So if you are coming across these problems, please email me or leave a message on the message board, and i'll eventually get around to fixing them all.

Finished the suggested mods on the 'Make an Investment' page. And so far no more emails. So now I will focus my attention on expanding the number of
HYIPs listed in the game.
Wednesday 1st November 2006
The latest suggestions that have been emailed to me are.
- (In 'Make an Investment') The ability to increase the active principal in a 'spend' instead of making multiple spends with in the same HYIP(DONE 2006-11-08)
- (In 'Make an Investment') Make the compounding drop down menu unavailable until a plan with the compounding feature has been selected. (DONE 2006-11-03)
Do other people feel the same way? Would you like these features in the game? Let me know via
email on the
Make a Comment page.

The
HYIP Training Game goes online
Friday 13th October 2006
I ask you the player, what do you think is a reasonable starting principal? I started with $10000 but realised that it was unrealistic for a novice investor to ‘actually’ have $10000 to play with. So I was thinking more along the $1000-$2000 mark. What do you (the players) think is a more realistic starting principal that will reflect real life?
UPDATE: It has been suggested that I allow the player to choose what their initial principal will be when they sign up. Comments?

The game is still effectively sitting on my server going through a heap of modifications; beta release date is hopefully in the next 3 weeks. On a different note, it has been put to me that instead of making the game purely educational (so investors don’t get ripped off); that I incorporate a ranking feature where players can compete against each other in terms or Return on Investment, highest returns, most successful investment portfolio (i.e. least number of HYIPs that scammed you). This will then lead to some sort of prize. Prizes could include egold, free advertising on the site, some sort of incentive (I don’t know you tell me). I like the idea, the only thing that is holding me back is interest from people. There is more than a little work for it to make it happen so if no one cares about it then I’ll focus my attention at a different area. So what do you think?

Programming has started on a game that will allow
HYIP investors practice/trial run their investment strategies with out risking their own money. I would have started ages earlier but as all HYIPs are not the same I had to make the game foundations modular so no matter how the HYIP was structured I could still use it. I need a name for the game, any ideas?
